World of Warcraft Fishing Guide
Your goal with WoW fishing may be to level fast or to go a little slower and make more gold. No matter how you approach it knowing where to go to do the best fishing is ideal for both leveling and making gold. This World of Warcraft Fishing guide will show you how to level to 225 Artisan.
It’s hard to know exactly how much more time you’ll need to level when making gold is the strategy but usually a few more hours. Cooked fish means more gold so it’s good to train for Cooking while you train for fishing. You can train for both at the same time.
You’ll need to already be a Journeyman to use this WoW Fishing Guide. Check out World of Warcraft Fishing Guide to get from Apprentice to Journeyman.
Master WoW fishing: Travel to one of the three oases at The Barrens
In order to progress to Master level you’ll first need to be at 75 as a Journeyman. At this skill level you can catch less junk and more fish. Focus on catching as much Deviate Fish as you can. Until you’ve leveled to 75 skill level use the Shiny Bauble lure. With this lure you’ll get a lot less junk.
Choose between 2 fishing strategies. Firstly you could fish in The Wailing Caverns. Although you will level faster here, only 30% of your catch will consist of valuable fish. One big advantage for Alliance players is the cover thats offered here, allowing you to hide from in Horde territory.
Rather than catching only 30% Diviate fish, this second strategy will allow you to catch 80% valuable fish. This will allow you to make much more gold. This strategy entails fishing one of the 3 oases. Just remember that this will take substantially more time to level simply because you’ll need to move around a lot more.
Expert and Artisan Level:
In order to reach Expert level which is 125-150 or Artisan level which is 200-225 you’ll need to find a fishing trainer. As an Alliance player you need to head over to Stranglethorn Vale for training. Find Myizz Luckycatch for training in Booty Bay. For Horde the trainer Lau’tiki on the south coast of Durotar is probably best. This trainer is closer but you could also train with the same trainer as Alliance.
Leveling up to Grand Master fishing level is beyond this World of Warcraft fishing guide but there are some good ones out there that include maps to the best fishing spots.
