My daughter received this for Christmas. It is very complicated for a 5.5 year old! Since the music plays along, even when you get the note correct, you can’t hear much music being played that you “created”. We are returning and looking for a traditional guitar that when strummed, actually makes sounds.

My grandaughter received this item for Christmas, and was extremely anxious to play with it. After putting new batteries in it, my husband hooked it up for her to play with but it did not work. No amount of tinkering would make it work, either. Having to send it back for a new one is extemely disappointing for our grandaughter, and us. I can’t rate it higher than a one without being able to use it!

Santa brought this for my seven year old for Christmas, she played with it for about fifteen minutes and was not thrilled. I’ve actually tried to get her to play it again and she won’t. Maybe we’re not playing it right, but it seems absolutely pointless. I would not recommend it to anyone. I honestly have found that to be true with most of the Hannah Montana stuff, it’s not well made and the games are kind of silly.

This has been a straight disappointment for both myself and my daughter. I was so excited for her to play it since her older brothers have guitar hero and she loves playing that. Initially I thought maybe it was just too complicated for a 7 yr old, but after I also tried to play, I know say it’s too complicated all together. We figured out that if we push the color buttons and also push the lever in simultaneously, you can hit a note sometimes, but not very often. I’ve noticed that some people are saying to tap the flat metal bar which we have not tried. I’ll try that next; however, this definitely should have came with some directions. I would not recommend this product to anyone. My daughter is already frustrated and no longer wants to be bothered with the guitar, and I really don’t blame her. I even gave up trying.
