This game rocks! If you always wanted to blast away zombies in single or co-op with your buddies at home or online then you are the person this game had in mind. I’m not going to rehash what you already read from others since you can read about it from youtube and gaming sites.

Haven’t played the single-player much, but if you have a Gold Xbox Live account, this game is a must-have. I’m not too big on zombie games (the gameplay in the Resident Evil games always made me feel claustrophobic and stiff), but this one plays more like Halo. It’s also not as creepy as other games, but that doesn’t mean it’s cartoonish by a long shot. It’s more of an exciting action game, and the dialogue between the characters really helps you throughout the game as well.
There’s also a Developer Commentary version of the stages, that has quote bubbles spread throughout the maps that you can shoot to get an audio explanation of the design and detail that went into that particular area. I haven’t been through all of them, but they’re worth the extra time, definitely. I just can’t peel myself away from the multiplayer.
As you go through the Commentary, the zombies won’t attack you, but will instead go after the 3 other characters without taking health. You won’t actually be harmed until the end of the stage, the finale, when you’re trying to make your escape. I kind of wish I would’ve played it first, because it does give you a whole new respect for what went into it (the lighting changes, different camera filters for different locations and situations, music cues and character designs, among many other things).
This is definitely worth the money, even with the second one coming out in a few days.

the game is good but its very short. i rented the game and i beat the first area in maybe 1 hour 30 minutes or so. also you dont get that many guns and you will get tired of seeing the same enemies over and over again. its very repitive. maybe part 2 will be better. i tried to play the other areas of this game but got bored with it very quickly. the good thing though is how the zombies act. they act real and when you kill them i like how they fall to. really realistic like. also having 4 characters on screen is really nice to. if you get hurt your teammates will automatically heal you up so you probably wont never die but even still it gets boring very quickly. im gald i rented it and not bought it.
