are you planning on buying it for her for the holidays?
if so, my little sister is twelve and she is going crazy over the “wii fit” game, the “wii music” game, that “cooking mama” game, and the mario galaxy game for the wii.
they all SEEM like fun games, but my parents have yet to look up their online ratings, but i guess we’ll find out on christmas day.
as for the DS, hmm, i haven’t played my DS in like a year or so, but i know my favorite games for the DS were all mario games, so i’d say if you buy her a mario game, your probably set. also i had fun playing a that so raven game on mine, but i beat it in like two days, so ultimately it’s your call.

In this case I would suggest Mario Kart Wii – great racing game for the whole family. You will surely have a great time playing it with your daughter.
Also DaBlob is a great Wii games – my kids love it.
Zak and Wiki quest for baborosa’s treasure is a really good puzzle game, it makes kids think, and me too!
